I recently stayed at a cozy cabin nestled in the woods at Springmaid Mountain. The serene surroundings provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The horses on the property were a beautiful sight and I can only imagine the joy of riding them. Despite a couple of minor repairs needed, the cabin itself was spacious, clean, and had a charming rustic aesthetic. The fully functioning kitchen was a bonus, allowing us to prepare meals at our convenience. I appreciated the seclusion and tranquility of the cabin, providing a truly relaxing experience. I would recommend Springmaid Mountain for those seeking a peaceful getaway.

I had a wonderful time at Springmaid Mountain! The cabin was clean, quiet, and provided a private retreat for my family. We enjoyed the beautiful mountain setting, with the river flowing nearby and the rocking chairs on the porch. The staff was friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen in the cabin was well-equipped, allowing us to easily prepare meals for our family. Despite the cabin being a bit dated, it was still cozy and well-maintained. We also appreciated the easy access to activities and mountain towns nearby. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and we loved meeting Turbo, their adorable dog. The rustic location added to the charm, and we enjoyed fishing and having bonfires by the river. The satellite TV and internet access in such a rural setting was a pleasant surprise. The spacious lodge was well-equipped, and despite the rain and fog, we had a wonderful stay.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

I had a fantastic stay at this mountain resort! The location was absolutely stunning, nestled in a beautiful mountain valley with breathtaking views. The hotel facilities were excellent, with a river running through the property, swimming and fishing ponds, and even horseback riding available. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel right at home. The cabin I stayed in was clean and well-maintained, with a fully equipped kitchen that had everything I needed. Despite the lack of air conditioning, the fans provided kept the cabin cool, and the pleasant mountain weather meant I didn't miss the A/C at all. The hotel's location, just off the Blue Ridge Parkway, made it easy to explore the surrounding area and enjoy all the activities and charming mountain towns nearby.
Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like.

The location of the cabin was very peaceful and private, providing a quiet environment to relax. The staff at the office were friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome during our stay. The cabin itself was spacious and well-equipped, offering everything we needed for our purpose.
The property could use some attention, as there were a few issues that affected our experience. The road leading to the cabin was rough and had many ruts, which made the journey a bit challenging.

Stayed in cabin 122 near campground area for hiking at Roan Highlands. Beautiful property secluded in country, few miles outside of Spruce Pine. Cabin well maintained, clean. Nice gas fired BuckStove. Views down to horse paddock very nice. Facilities include stables, ponds, hiking trails. Cabin very quiet, but could be more people during summer camping season.

I recently stayed at a camping resort in a beautiful mountain setting. The staff was friendly and the cabin was clean and spacious. The location was great, with a river flowing nearby and opportunities for swimming, fishing, and horseback riding. The cabin's kitchen was well-equipped, and despite the lack of A/C, the fans provided were sufficient to keep us cool in the mid-70s temperatures. The resort's proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway made it easy to explore the surrounding mountain towns and attractions.
I can confidently recommend this hotel.

One thing that stood out during our stay at Springmaid Mountain was the breathtaking view of the river from our cottage. It was truly a tranquil and serene experience. The personalized packet with our name on it containing the keys and a map to the cottage was a thoughtful touch. The staff members were incredibly friendly and genuine, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. Even the neighbors were warm and welcoming, adding to the overall positive atmosphere.
While the lack of a store within the property was a minor inconvenience, it would have been convenient to have one to purchase any necessary items. Additionally, we were not prepared for the fact that we needed to bring our own toiletries and that food delivery was not an option.
